The love between Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies and Lucia Migliaccio was born far from the noise of power, in that fragile space where a king could finally be a man.
They met in their adulthood. Ferdinando bore the burden of escapes and returns; Lucia a quiet grace, capable of welcoming without asking. A profound closeness grew between them, based on listening, presence, and daily choices.
But love did not follow the law of the crown. Theirs was a morganatic marriage: Lucia would never become queen. She remained what she was. And in this truth she found her greatness: Duchess of Floridia.

The love of Ferdinand I. of the two years and Lucia Migliaccio wuchs fern vom Lärm der Macht, in jenem fragilen Raum, in dem ein König endlich Mensch sein durfte.
Begegneten sich im reiferen Alter. Ferdinand trug das Gewicht von Flucht und Rückkehr; Lucia stille Anmut, die aufnehmen konnte, ohne zu fordern. Zwischen ihnen wuchs aine tiefe Nähe aus Zuhören, Präsenz und täglicher Entscheidung.
Doch die Liebe folgte nicht dem Gesetz der Krone. Ihre Ehe war morganatisch: Lucia würde nie Königin werden. Sie blieb, wer sie war. And in this Wahrheit fand sie ihre Größe: Herzogin von Floridia.
Für sie verwandelte der König Gefühl in Landschaft. Er schenkte ihr einen Park aus jahrhundertealten Bäumen und Meereslicht, damit ihr Name Ort, Atem, Schicksal werden konnte.
